SCOTT WEILAND's 'Beautiful Day' Chosen As First Single Off 'Bug' Movie Soundtrack
May 1, 2007VELVET REVOLVER frontman Scott Weiland's solo track "Beautiful Day" will reportedly be the first single off the "Bug" movie soundtrack. The CD, which will be released on May 22 through Lions Gate Entertainment, will also include new music from SYSTEM OF A DOWN's Serj Tankian.

Weiland originally performed "Beautiful Day" last September at the Legends of Notre Dame club in Notre Dame, Indiana.
Directed by Academy Award winner William Friedkin ("The French Connection", "The Exorcist") and adapted by Tracy Letts from his hit off-Broadway play, "Bug" stars Golden Globe nominee Ashley Judd, Harry Connick Jr., Lynn Collins, Brian F. O'Byrne and Michael Shannon, according to MoviesOnline. Probing the blurry lines between paranoia and nightmarish reality, Liongate Films' "Bug" is an intense, mind-bending psychological thriller in which nothing is quite as it seems.
